Let's begin with the colors of the rainbow (El arco iris):
rojo, anaranjado, amarillo, verde, azul, añil, violeta
(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet)
La rosa roja yace en la grama verde bajo el cielo azul.
(The red rose lies on the green grass under the blue sky.)
blanco, negro, gris, marrón, bronceado, plateado, dorado
(white, black, grey, brown, tan, silver, gold)
La fotografía en blanco y negro tiene matices de gris.
(The black and white photograph has shades of grey.)
rosado, escarlata, morado
(pink, scarlet, purple)
Los claveles rosados son bellos.
(The pink carnations are beautiful.)
celeste, verde azulado, verde oliva
(sky blue, blue green, olive green)
Los ojos de la niña son celestes.
(The girl's eyes are sky blue.)
